Extra large outdoor nylon Illinois flags are offered with a #10 white nylon rope sewn into the 2" cotton polyester blend header. Galvanized metal thimble ends are crimped to the rope ends for attachment to the flag snaps. An additional brass grommet is placed midway on the heading for use with a third flag snap for durability and stability on the halyard.

A bill to amend the original flag act of 1915 was passed by the General Assembly and became effective July 1970. It modified the design, specified colors to be used, and added the word "Illinois" underneath the seal. |
