About Custom Flags and Banners
In addition to representing national, state, official, and municipal identities, flags are effective for branding a business or product line, promoting an organization, or telling a story. At Embassy Flag, we produce custom flags and banners for companies, government agencies, events, organizations, clubs, teams, and more.
Modern domestic USA textiles used for flags are 200 denier nylon or 250 denier open weave polyester. Our standard production methods are direct digital print or dye sublimation using provided vector art supplied with Pantone® PMS colors. This allows us to offer unlimited colors and gradients with low or no setup charges. Printed flags and banners have shorter production schedules than sewn flags.
Our sewn or appliqued flags are produced using cut pieces of pre-dyed material sewn to the base nylon material. This method is suited for single or low-volume production and custom flags and banners not used for regular outdoor display. We also produce embroidered flags often used by official government and military organizations.

Artwork
For all custom flags and banners, the art should be saved as a vector file, Illustrator .ai or .pdf, or generic .eps, with fonts and strokes outlined. Artwork should be sized correctly for the requested product, and Solid Coated Pantone® (PMS) colors should be included for maximum color match.

Construction Methods and Finishes
- Single reverse digital print at 600 DPI full ink penetration with mirror image on the backside.
- Double-sided digital prints are two flags sewn back to back with an inner Tyvek® liner.
- Sewn or appliqued nylon, single or double-sided flags
- Rayon fabric for embroidered flags is available in limited colors.

Heading and Grommets
Custom flags and banners 6 ft x 10 ft and smaller have two brass grommets. Larger flag and banner sizes up to 30 ft x 50 ft have a roped heading or D-rings plus additional grommets.

Pole Hem
For indoor or parade flags, we offer a pole sleeve and top tab to fit the flag over a pole. Pole hem size is 3″ to fit poles 1″ – 1 ¼” diameter. We offer optional fringe for indoor or parade flags in gold, white, and silver and limited availability in black, blue, and red.

Schedules
- Printed flags and banners have shorter production schedules than sewn flags, with lead times as short as 2 weeks in the winter and 4-6 weeks in the busy summer season.
- Sewn or appliqued nylon, single or double-sided flags have a 4-8 week lead times.
- The lead time for embroidered flags is 6-12 weeks or more.
- Seven-day rush service is available with the following limitations:
- Prepaid orders only.
- Only available for digital print flags with vector-ready artwork for printed outdoor nylon flags 2 ft x 3 ft and larger, with heading and grommets only.
- A minimum of 6 pieces or a maximum of 100 pieces is required.
Types of Custom USA-Made Flags and Banners
Custom Marine and Nautical Nylon Flags
- Printed or sewn/appliqued boat flags have grommets produced in rectangular, pennant, or swallowtail shapes. Flags can be either single reverse or double-sided.
- Common sizes are 12” x 18”, 16” x 24”, and 24” x 36”. We have provided large 4 ft x 6 ft custom marine flags for super yachts and expedition ships.
- Applications: yacht clubs, private signals and ensigns, sponsorships, promotions, tournaments, and races
Custom Corporate Logo Flags and Banners
- USA-made nylon and woven polyester flags using American-made materials.
- Corporate logo flags and banners are typically printed.
- Sizes range from 2 ft x 3 ft to 12 ft x 18 ft, and jumbo sizes are available up to 30 ft x 60 ft.
- Applications: advertising, branding, corporate sponsorship, events, fundraisers, promotion, and tournaments
Custom Golf Course and Golf Tournament Flags
- USA-made stock and custom golf course flags.
- Single or double face with inner liner, golf pin tubes, heading, and grommets in standard 14” x 20”.

Custom Street Banners/Avenue Banners
- USA-made street banners are offered in 600 denier polyester or 200 denier nylon for longer multi-season displays.
- Longer lasting than vinyl avenue banners.
- Produced double-sided with two banners sewn back to back with a Tyvek® inner liner.
- Finished with 3-inch top and bottom sleeves and 2 grommets for securing to street lamp poles. Banner brackets are offered to accommodate 18″, 24″, or 36″ wide banners.

- USA-made 4” x 6” digital print flags, hemmed and mounted on 3/16” x 10” black plastic staff with a gold spear point.

Custom Wave Banners
- Printed single reverse and double face with a liner on 200 denier nylon.
- 8 ft and 14 ft banners attached to a tension display pole, stretching the banner and rotating 360 degrees on a ground stake or collapsible metal base, both included, for quick attachment to the pole and easy set-up.
- 6-8 day production schedules.

Custom Feather Flags
- Tall advertising flags printed single reverse on 200 denier nylon.
- Sizes: 2 ft wide by 8, 10, or 12 ft tall and 3 ft wide by 8, 10, 12, or 16 ft tall.
- Use with telescoping fiberglass Superpoles adjustable to 8-15 ft and 8-21 ft, complete with 24″ ground sleeve or 19-inch steel ground stake.
