Adopted in 1964. Three sides away from the hoist contain alternating blocks of red & white, the widest portion being at top and containing the English heraldic lion coat of arms of Prince Edward. The white center of the flag contains an island image of oak trees representing the three counties of PEI (Prince, Queens, and Kings) and Great Britain.
