The flag colors have been in use since 1848 and adopted in 1918. The current Ukraine constitution specifies only that the national flag have two equal horizontal bands of azure (top) and golden yellow, representing golden grain fields under a clear blue sky. It does not specify Pantone colors. The United Nations officially recognized colors are a light sky-blue Pantone 279C over a Pantone Yellow 137C lower field. Many flags are produced with a darker royal blue, close to Pantone 286. Effective March 2022 the U.S. flag industry is back-ordered on Ukraine flags of all sizes. Expected ship dates from U.S. factories to distributors is estimated as mid-March.
