Color fastness for United States flags on woven polyester materials is guaranteed for one full year.
Embroidered stars are supplied on USA flags through 12 x 18 ft. Appliqued stars are supplied on sizes 15 x 25 ft. and over. Outdoor USA flags displayed on this site have sewn stripes.
USA Outdoor Woven Flag Heading Construction- Flags through 6 x 10 ft. are supplied with canvas heading and two brass grommets.
- Sizes 8 x 12 ft. and larger are supplied with rope stitched into the canvas heading with metal thimble ends.
- 10 X 15 ft. and larger U.S. flags have at least one additional grommet in addition to the sewn in roped heading.
- 15 X 25 ft. and larger American flags feature extra-heavy 3/8" rope in the heading plus a minimum of three grommets.
USA Outdoor Woven Flag Fly End Construction- 4 rows of stitching standard on sizes up to 6 x 10 ft.
- 8 x 12 ft. and larger American flags are finished with a minimum of 6 rows of fly-end stitching.
- 10 x 15 ft. and larger U.S. flags have triangular corner patches on the heading.
- 10 x 15 ft. and larger American flags are back-tacked stitched on each fly end stripe.
- 15 x 25 ft. and larger U.S. flags feature additional fly-end corner patches on the backside of each flag to shield the vulnerable exposed hems.

Garrison Flags, Navy Battle Ensigns 20' x 38'Flown by Army, Marine and Naval posts on special flag flying holidays in lieu of the usual post flag size. Posts may display the garrison flag for regional celebrations when directed by the post commander. This has been the approximate size of the garrison flag since at least 1834, per US Army specifications. Naval posts fly garrison size flags with flagpoles of 55 feet or more. Marine posts fly the garrison flag only on flagpoles 65 feet or taller. In addition to the special flag flying holidays, garrison flags are displayed every Sunday.

Internment/Burial Flag/Casket Flag 5' x 9.5' cotton: used to drape the casket or accompany the urn of a deceased veteran who served in the U. S. armed forces. Generally, the internment flag is given to the next-of-kin as a keepsake after its use during the funeral service. The proper way to display the flag depends upon whether the casket is open or closed. Embassy Flag offers both nylon and cotton casket / internment flags.
